Characteristics of Solar Energy Gel Battery

Solar energy gel batteries are the application of "batteries" in solar photovoltaic power generation. Currently, there are four types: lead-acid maintenance-free batteries, ordinary lead-acid batteries, gel batteries, and alkaline nickel-cadmium batteries. The solar cells currently widely used in China are mainly lead-acid maintenance-free batteries and gel batteries.

Both types of batteries are suitable for reliable performance due to their inherent "free" maintenance characteristics and less environmental pollution. For solar systems, especially unattended workstations, the solar energy batteries should have the following characteristics: better deep cycle capability, and good capabilities in overcharge and overdischarge.

Gel electrolyte guarantees long service life. Special process design and long life battery are suitable for different environmental requirements, e.g. high altitude, high temperature, high temperature and low temperature. The working principle of solar cells is that the sunlight in the daytime shines on the solar module, so the solar cell module will generate certain amount of DC voltage, convert light energy into electrical energy, and then transmit it to the intelligent controller.

After the intelligent controller is protected from overcharging, the electrical energy transmitted by the solar module is sent to the battery for storage; and the storage device requires storage battery, which is an electrochemical device that stores chemical energy and releases electrical energy when necessary. The main components of lead storage battery are as follows: anode plate (lead peroxide. PbO2)-> active material cathode plate (sponge lead).
